Our Current Service Format

We feel it's important to worship together in our Father's House as well as with our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. We also want to meet the regulations of our city and provide the safest environment possible for you, and your family to gather. For the time being we have made some adjustments so that everyone can attend our Sunday services comfortably.

In Person & Online Services

We are currently meeting together on Sunday's at both 8:30am & 11:00am in-person. Our 11am service can be found online by going to Facebook: First Lutheran Church or Youtube: First Lutheran Church Chattanooga.

If you are at high risk, feel uncomfortable being in groups at this time or if you or a member of your family is feeling under the weather, we encourage you take advantage of our online service.

The Lord's Supper

The order of communion has been altered so that each person can receive the Lord's Supper and still practice a safe social distance. Our Pastor and Assistants wear mask and individual cups are provided. The more comfortable we become with our prospering health, we will return to kneeling at the alter.

If you'd like to meet with Pastor for private communion, please contact the office at anytime for an appointment.

Mask or No Mask

We want you to be comfortable. Mask are certainly encouraged if you are high risk or if you have questions of exposing others. We have masks available at the door if you need one.

Practice Social Distancing

Please respect everyone's space. As much as we want to hug everyone's neck, we have omitted the time in our service that we turn to fellowship and shake hands for now.

Seating

We have closed every other pew, allowing proper space for those who prefer adequate social distancing.

Breakfast Room

Our Breakfast Room with coffee and refreshments is currently closed for safety.

Transitioning

We look forward to reopening completely and going back to "normal" when the time is right. Everyone feels differently about these current situations surrounding the covid pandemic but we must respect each other and stay focused on the real objective¼ To Experience God, Love Others and Serve Our Community.
